The founding project of TPR
The National Oil Office, located on Mohamed V Avenue in Tunis, represents a historic and emblematic project in TPR's journey. Completed in 1980, it was the company's first major project, made possible thanks to the trust granted by the visionary architect Mohamed Sadok Sassi.
This institutional building is distinguished by the pioneering use of aluminum frames, a remarkable technical innovation for the time in Tunisia. The exceptional durability of these elements is the signature of the project: after more than four decades, these frames did not require any renovation, testifying to the superior quality of the materials and the technical execution.
A sustainable vision ahead of time
The architecture of the building reflects a modern vision that has stood the test of time. The aluminum solutions used integrate harmoniously into the overall design, combining functionality, aesthetics and sustainability. This achievement perfectly illustrates how technical innovation can be part of sustainability.
Beyond its technical qualities, this project marks the beginning of a long series of successful collaborations between TPR and the most renowned architects in Tunisia. It symbolizes TPR's commitment to the quality and technical excellence that have built its reputation over the decades.
The National Oil Office thus remains an eloquent testimony to the history of modern Tunisian architecture and an example of sustainable construction even before this concept became a central concern in architectural design.
